Music and Compositions

Kaye has arranged many, many pieces for string quartet and has done one full orchestration. In addition, she has composed several Violinoriginal pieces for SATB choir (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and is working on a symphony.

Kaye also composed four pieces for the children's play "Bear Says North" by Holly Y. The play is based on an EasternPiano soundboard European folk tale and the pieces are short themes for the different animal characters. You can listen to the Bear theme and the Grouse theme here. Look around at Holly's other plays - maybe you can use them!

Over the years, Kaye has played violin with a tremendous variety of musical groups. In high school in Moline, Illinois, she was concertmistress for the school orchestra and while attending Northwestern University, she played with the Northwestern University Symphony.

Since then, she has been a part of the Great Falls Symphony Orchestra, the Minnetonka Orchestral Association, the Richardson Symphony Orchestra in Texas, the Warren Symphony Orchestra in Michigan, the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving in Texas, and numerous other groups.

Of course, that doesn't include the many, many small ensembles of which she's been a part. From a "String Choir" during her high school years to a string quartet in Minnesota to countless church services, Kaye George hardly knows what life would be like without her violin.

And then there are the choral ensembles...
